Fun and Welcoming Onboarding Programme for New Starters

Project: Onboarding pack for new starters.

Working with the Kensington Internal Communications team, we were asked to create a ‘welcome pack’ for new starters – to make them feel valued and welcomed on their first day of work. We decided from the outset that a fun-and-friendly tone-of-voice of the project was a key aspect, and that this tone would run through all aspects of the project. The pack needed to be fun with useful tools, and information to offer advice and guidance – and all aligned with the established and vibrant Kensington brand.

Packing in a Box Load of Design

The project consisted primarily of the design and creation of physical tools and items to help the new starter, such as; the big welcome box on their new desk, which contained various items like a note pad, pens, coffee cup, water bottle and welcome note.

The other key part of the project was an online interactive guide for the new stater to have access too before their first day. This online guide gave advice on what to wear, how to get to the various offices, as well as a welcome video from the CEO and information of the various employee awards and benefit schemes.
